Privacy notice

How we use your information.

Last updated: 15 May 2026

Who we are

RMP Electrical is a sole-trader electrical contractor based in Hayes, Greater London, serving all of London plus Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire. For any privacy questions, contact us on 07376 203073 or hello@rmp-electrical.co.uk.

We are the data controller for any personal information you give us. We comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

When you submit the enquiry form on this site, we collect:

  • A short description of the job you need doing
  • Your postcode (so we know whether you're in our service area)
  • Your phone number (so we can call you back with a quote)

We do not ask for your name, email address, payment details, or any other identifying information at the enquiry stage.

Why we use it

We use the information solely to respond to your enquiry, to ring or message you back about the job and arrange a visit where needed. The lawful basis for this processing is your consent (you actively chose to send us the form) and our legitimate interest in responding to potential customers.

How we send it

When you submit the form, the details are sent as an SMS text message to our phone via Twilio (a US-based communications provider, certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework). As a backup, the same details are also emailed to us using Resend (an EU-region email delivery service). The message contains only the three fields above.

The form also uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam bots. Cloudflare receives your IP address and basic browser signals to verify you are human. No personal data from the form fields is shared with Cloudflare.

How we store it

Every enquiry is saved to our secure CRM (Sanity, a Norwegian-based cloud service) so no lead is lost if SMS or email fails. The CRM record contains your job description, postcode, phone number, IP address, browser type, and the page you came from.

We keep CRM records for as long as there is an active business relationship, and delete them within 12 months of the last contact (or within six years if we invoiced for the work, per UK tax record requirements).

How long we keep it

SMS records are retained by Twilio for a short period as part of their standard message logs. Email records are retained by Resend for a similar period. On our phone and devices, your details are kept only as long as needed to complete the job and meet UK accounting and tax-record requirements (six years for invoiced work). CRM records are deleted on the timescale described above.

WhatsApp

If you choose to contact us via the WhatsApp button, a pre-filled message containing your job description and postcode is passed to WhatsApp (operated by Meta Platforms). Meta's privacy policy applies to that conversation. We treat the details you send as we would any other enquiry.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with marketers. We do not

  • send marketing emails or texts
  • add you to any mailing list
  • pass your details to third-party tradespeople

The site is hosted on Vercel and uses Vercel Analytics + Speed Insights, both of which are cookie-free and do not identify individual visitors.

Error monitoring (Sentry)

To diagnose technical problems we use Sentry (a German-hosted error monitoring service operated by Sentry GmbH). When the site throws an error in your browser, Sentry receives:

  • your IP address and browser request headers
  • technical context: URL, browser, operating system, the JavaScript stack trace
  • a video-style replay of the page (DOM snapshots and clicks) recorded for sessions where an error occurred, so we can see what triggered the bug
  • application log lines emitted by the site code

Replay automatically masks form inputs by default, so the contents of the enquiry form (your job description, postcode, phone number) are not recorded. We never use Sentry data for marketing, profiling, or any purpose other than diagnosing site faults. Sentry retains this data for 90 days.

Lawful basis: legitimate interest in keeping the site working.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • ask what data we hold about you
  • ask us to correct or delete it
  • withdraw your consent at any time
  • complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk)

To exercise any of these, contact us on the phone number or email above. We'll respond within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this notice, we'll update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage.
