Who you're dealing with
RMP Electrical is a sole-trader electrical contractor based in Hayes, Greater London. All notifiable work is certified to current Building Regulations. We carry public liability insurance.
The website
This site exists to introduce our service and let you request a quote. The content is provided in good faith but for general information only. It is not a substitute for a site visit, an inspection, or formal advice.
Quotes & estimates
- Submitting the enquiry form is not a contract. It's a request for a quote.
- Quotes and estimates are free and without obligation. Every job is priced individually after we've discussed what's needed.
- Quotes are issued in writing (text or email) and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
- Work begins only after you confirm acceptance of the quote.
- Where the job changes scope on site, we'll agree any extra cost with you before continuing.
Standards & certification
All work is carried out to BS 7671 (the IET Wiring Regulations). Notifiable work is properly certified and you'll receive the relevant certificate on completion. Building Control notifications are handled where required.
Payment
Payment terms are stated on the invoice. For domestic jobs we typically invoice on completion. For larger projects a deposit may be agreed in writing in advance. We accept bank transfer.
Guarantee
All workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months. Manufacturer warranties on parts apply separately. The guarantee does not cover damage caused by third-party alteration, misuse, or work outside our original scope.
Cancellations
You can cancel a booked job up to 24 hours before the agreed start time at no charge. For cancellations within 24 hours of the start time we may charge for materials already ordered or for travel. Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 cooling-off rights apply where relevant.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under UK law. Subject to that, our liability for any single job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
Complaints
If anything isn't right, please tell us first. Call 07376 203073 or email hello@rmp-electrical.co.uk and we'll do our best to put it right. Where notifiable work is involved, you also have recourse to the certifying body.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
